Service Opportunity

The Youth of Lyghthouse will be doing a little house cleaning at our church (HILLTOP) on Saturday morning, October 6th.  It is an opportunity to give back to the church and to make our home look a little nicer for our guests.  :)  It is also an opportunity for those wanting to go on our ROCH trip but needing some help in the financial department to earn a little $$ for the trip.  We hope you all can make it out on the 6th....cya then!!

Minnesota Youth Convention (ROCH)

It's that time of year again! We will be heading to Rochester, MN for our annual Minnesota Youth Convention trip. We are taking a bus again with our friends from Grace United Methodist Church and heading down for a weekend of fun, relationship building and seeking God. We leave Thursday, Oct. 18 at noon and returning late afternoon on Saturday. The cost for the trip is $100 and each youth will need to bring money for an additional 3 meals. Valley Fair Trip

We will be going to Valley Fair along with our GUM buddies on Tuesday, August 7th. We will be leaving @ 6:00 AM and returning around 11:00 PM. The cost for the trip will be $40 and that includes a packed lunch. Bring money for two meals on the way down and back. Get signed up today!!!

Update for MISSION:FF'12

Please bring, in addition to everything listed in the previous post, a pair of pants and a long-sleeve shirt for working in.  A few of the projects will be in and around some thick brush, and you will want your arms and legs covered to prevent scratches.  Thanks!!

MISSION:FF'12

MISSION:FF'12 is less than two weeks away!!  So...just a reminder on the dates and times:  Check-in is @ Grace United Methodist @ 6pm Sunday, June 17th...and we will be finishing up @ Hilltop Celebration Church @ 9pm on Friday, June 22nd.  Remember to bring your t-shirts and clothes to work, paint and play in, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillows, air mattress, swimsuits (one-piece), camera, Bible, pen, notebook, etc...

Dustin and Ruth are getting married this Saturday!!  If you are helping with serving at their wedding reception be @ Hilltop at 4:30pm.  

SummerFest Service OPP

Hey Everyone - We have been blessed with an opportunity to serve at Summerfest in Fergus Falls on June 9th, and this will raise money for MISSION:FF'12!! We will be serving, cleaning tables, emptying trash from 10am-3pm. Mike and Deb Bottko will be heading this event up for us.  If you're going meet at Hilltop this Saturday morning @ 9:30!!

1st Service Project for MISSION:FF'12

Last Saturday a few of us had the opportunity to help one of our church family member out by doing a little leaf raking and bagging for them...and in turn they helped us out a little by making a donation to our mission trip this summer. Gotta love team work! Thanks for all the help ladies!!!

Truebridge Youth Retreat @ Big Sandy Camp

The Truebridge Youth Retreat is from Friday April 27 - Sunday April 29.  This year's theme will be "Gifts of Power. Gifts of Grace." As always this event should be an incredibly awesome time of getting away, making new friends and being challenged to draw closer to God.  The cost for the event is $95...but we are cutting that to $75 for all of our Lyghthouse youth.  If you have any questions about the event contact Pastor Jeremy :)

LYM Talent Show and Silent Auction - Sunday May 6th

It's getting to be that time of year again.  MISSION:FF'12 (our 5th year!!) is right around the corner!  The excitement is building, and it all kicks off with our Talent Show and Silent Auction on Sunday evening, May 6th.  This year we will be featuring church-wide talents (not just our youth's) and a Silent Auction for those needing to raise money for MISSION:FF'12.  Be watching for updates, and feel free to call YPJ (youth pastor jeremy) @ 218.205.0525 with any questions!

LYghtHouSe GamE niGhT - Saturday March 24

We will be having another Game Night @ Hilltop on Saturday, March 24 @ 6-9pm.  Come join us for some Snacks, games, blow darts, and a bonfire!! No cost :)  Bring your friends!

Lyghthouse Game Day!!

Well we had sooo much fun @ our last Game Night on January 21 (hurray for blow-darts!!) that we decided to do it again :)  This time it is going to be out @ Michael Stillwell's grandparents' house on the lake.  (I was so excited when I heard about it I forgot to get the address...so more on that later)  But here's what you need to know:


Meet @ Hilltop on Saturday, Feb. 11 @ 2pm (transportation provided)
Bring clothes for playing in the snow and on the ice. (boot hockey is the plan!)
Bring $5 to cover transportation and pizza.
We'll be returning to Hilltop later that evening around 8pm.
