Game Nite :) Saturday, Jan. 21

To kick off the new Year, we've decided to start having some game nights @ Lyghthouse since we all like hanging out so much. :)  Our first one is planned for Saturday January 21. (Yes, that is a change from the 14th which we had originally announced - sorry for any inconvenience, but there is a conflict at the church that night.)  

There will be plenty of snacks, games (obviously), music, hide and seek in the dark and a Wii...not to mention hanging out with the greatest people in the world.  Bring your friends, and let's have some fun!!  It starts @ 6 and goes til 9...or later... :)

Christmas Party!!

OK, so it's been awhile since we've updated our site...oops!  Well...I've been busy. :)  But this week is our Christmas party!!  Everything starts Wednesday Night the 21st at 6pm.  Be sure to join us for cookie decorating, Christmas music, games and a movie.  And don't for get to wear an ugly sweater and bring your bottles of coins for our Charity:Water donation.  See you there!!

ROCH, BABY!!!

It's almost that time of year again...school's starting (boo, I know)...BUT...that also means that the Minnesota Youth Convention (better known as - ROCH - for all of us @ Lyghthouse) is right around the corner!! The theme this year is Relentless: After The One. It should be a fun and challenging time for all of us...and, of course, dodgeball!! Here's the details:

Depart: Thursday, October 20 @ noon from Hilltop
Return: Saturday, October 22 around 4 pm.
Cost: $80 + money for 3 meals (the rest are covered in the cost)
Payment due in full: September 28
Cost after September 28: $100 (if spots still available)

We will be going down with our buddy, Dallas and the youth from GUM again this year...should be one stellar weekend!!

July 31st - Baptism Sunday!!

Here's the video of Hilltop's Baptism on July 31st.  Quite a few of our youth took the plunge!  It was definitely an exciting time for all of us!!  Hopefully, we can see this happen every year :)

Lyghthouse, you're beloved (34 y/o) youth pastor is finally(!!) getting married:)

It's true! ypj has finally found a wife. For a long time now most of you have been wondering why Jeremy was still single (to many of you, however, it was no big mystery:) Will he ever grow up? Will he ever settle down with a family? Will he ever take off a jersey to put on a tuxedo?? Well, that day is officially on it's way! Last night, Tuesday July 26th, Jeremy asked Miss Sarah Jean Sivertson to be his wife...and...she said, "YES!!!" (Yes...why she settled for him will always be a mystery...it may have been the beautiful ring that she just couldn't say "NO" to...) These are exciting days for all of us at Lyghthouse and Hilltop Celebration Church. Their wedding will be on Saturday November 5th later this year!!

Valley Fair - Tuesday, August 9

Lyghthouse and Grace will be heading to Valley Fair on Tuesday, August 9th for our annual day of fun, sun and entertainment!!  The highlight of the trip, of course, will be ypj winning his traditional North Carolina mini-basketball at the $1 shootout. (In the event his attempt is unsuccessful again this year, Tori Watkins will step in and show him how it's done on the first try:)  We will be leaving @ 7:00am Tuesday morning and returning sometime around 11pm that night.  The cost for the trip is $35, and an additional $3 if you would like us to pack you a lunch.  You will also need money for stopping for supper on the way home.  Sign up at Lyghthouse on Wednesday night and turn in your money to ypj or Kenzi by July 27 to guarantee your spot on the bus :)
